By growing organically, farmers care for the environment, for wildlife, for the people they employ—and for the people who conscientiously purchase their products. This relationship between farmer and consumer is a circle, and it makes the world a better place.

Whether it’s about environmental preservation, animal welfare, or humanitarian issues, the people we highlight in this spring issue are passionately committed to bringing about change, and they have made courageous, heroic choices. They remind me of our higher purpose: to express our love in this world by choosing to make a positive difference for yourself, your family, and the world.
